“The team and I are excited to have Allie join our program!” expressed Hansen. “She had a great career as a student-athlete in the Sunshine State Conference. She helped build a nationally recognized program at Florida Institute of Technology.”

Hansen continued, “Allie understands the work that goes into competing at the highest level of NCAA Division II women’s lacrosse. Her experience and knowledge of the game will be an asset as we prepare to make the jump into the top half of our conference and the national rankings this spring.”

After closing out her collegiate career, Modica moved right into the coaching scene. She spent a year as a Florida Tech volunteer coach followed by a stint at the Florida Xtreme Club girl’s lacrosse team.

Modica commented, “I am so excited to join the Saint Leo women’s lacrosse coaching staff and the entire university athletic department.
