Record Watch Danielle Della Rocca, the ASUN’s all-time leader in goals and points, is JU’s all-time leader with 235 points and stands eight goals away from tying Morgan Derner (2011-14) for most in JU history, and needs nine assists to tie Taylor McCord for most all-time. Ashtyn Hiron is only seven points away from 100 in her career, and Hannah Wilcox stands just 13 away. The two could give Jacksonville a rare feat, boasting potentially boasting up to five players with 100 or more career points (Della Rocca, Rachel Aus, and Courtney Valdez). Brager has 26 caused turnovers on the year, and Wilcox is right behind with 25, both well within striking distance of taking assistant coach Brittney Orashen‘s single-season record of 30 in 2015. Brager has 39 ground balls this season, nine from tying Orashen’s 2015 record as well. Valdez and Brager Achieve ASUN Weekly Honors After two impressive victories last week that led to their team clinching a spot in the ASUN Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship, Jacksonville University’s Courtney Valdez and Erika Brager swept this week’s ASUN Lacrosse Player of the Week awards, the league office announced on Tuesday. Series History The Dolphins won at home against the Paladins in 2016 by a score of 16-9. Hiron netted four scores, and Della Rocca, Lillie Miller, and Taylor McCord had hat tricks. JU also hosted CCU and prevailed, 16-4. Jacksonville leads 4-0 all-time against the Paladins, and 3-0 against the Chanticleers. Do You Know the Enemy? Coastal Carolina’s only ASUN loss has been by a single-goal to Old Dominion. Courtney Genovese and Sophie Crowther each have scored 28 goals. Goalie Harley Barrett owns 97 saves in 13 games.
