Kumbaya . . . A little divine guidance would be appreciated right now. I'm experiencing the FLN version of the Sports Illustrated jinx.  For my younger readers, Sports Illustrated was basically the print version of ESPN SportsCenter in its' day.  There was a really funny correlation about being the Cover person for the magazine and the likelihood they would have a down year after being profiled as the main feature. It seems whoever I rank 16-25 ends up losing the next week.  When I said last week that there were 30-35 teams that could be ranked I wasn't kidding because they keep trading wins and losses.  Maybe you should hope you are ranked 14th or higher, or fall into the Also Considered territory, it's a LOT safer there. https://youtu.be/bYJMtn6IJeE I think I used The Seekers once l

If the kids, after playing a PHYSICAL, COMPETITIVE athletic contest can get together after the game and have a good time, so can EVERYONE ELSE who attends the contest. It will make the experience a lot better for everyone involved.   Last Week's Top 25 Poll 1) Oxbridge – road wins over Saint Andrew’s and Bishop Moore and the home win over Jupiter 2) Jupiter – someone else has to prove they can beat the Warriors too.  So far it’s been only Oxbridge and SA the last 2 seasons and they already avenged SA twice 3) Ponte Vedra – Lambert is the real deal in the South 4) St. Thomas Aquinas – Tuesday they look to send a message 5) St. Andrew’s – looks like t

But something is missing. The ease of finding data was buried the night this happened . . . Rest In Peace LP . . . And here's a prayer that MaxPreps can come close . . .   The 2019 Florida High School Lacrosse season has already begun as I write this, so put on your pretend hats and figure this was put up Sunday instead. Last season was one for the books. Public Champion Many new entries into the Polls all year New stars to cover . . . and the parade of big time coaches continues to make their way down to the state.   Sharp readers will note that I did not use the Florida Lacrosse Showcase moniker and there's a fairly simple reason for that . . . it occurred Sunday! We hope to have a press release from this week to share with you how the event went.   Well, another GREAT year in the books and what it comes down to is pretty simple. Lacrosse is one great sport! And definitely, for many reasons, #LacrossePutMyButtInThisSeat!     And nearly 3,000 MORE.   Congratulations to all 8 teams that made it to Championship Weekend! Hagerty and Lake Highland and Vero Beach and American Heritage-Delray Ponte Vedra, Bishop Moore, Saint Andrew's and Jupiter Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my! Well, none of those . . . Huskies and Highlanders a...
