  Author's Note:  I received a request from a group concerning a petition the group would like to send to the FHSAA for the upcoming vote on the use of the girl's headgear for the upcoming season.  Readers remember two years ago when FLN covered the issue at length.  We were careful to not fully reject the idea as our issue with it was far more about the process of how the FHSAA came to its' original decision, not the actual ruling itself. Tampa Women’s Lacrosse Announces Walk-On Tryout Date

  via UT press release   TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's lacrosse team will host an open tryout for current Fall 2017 students on Thursday, September 14 from 8-10 p.m. This will be the only tryout date offered for UT students in the Fall and Spring semesters. The tryout will be held at the Naimoli Family Athletic and Intramural Complex. All students need to have a copy of their UT Spartan Card and they MUST have a copy of a physical dated within 6 months of the tryout date. If it is not in this time frame, you will not be permitted to tryout due to NCAA rules. Students will also need to sign a sickle cell waiver and assumption of risk form. Without proof of 2017 Fall semester UT Spartan Card, copy of physical taken within 6 months of the tryout and co
