2017 Cascade Rookie of the Year Nominees Announced – Dylan Molloy Named A Finalist

via MLL press release   Here are the nominees for the 2017 Cascade Rookie of the Year:   Josh Byrne, Attack, Chesapeake Bayhawks After being drafted by Chesapeake in the third round of the 2017 MLL Collegiate Draft, Byrne went on to become the most prolific rookie goal scorer in the history of the league with 39 goals. He led all MLL players in goals in 2017 and was named the Cascade Rookie of the Week on two occasions. Despite only playing in 10 games, the Hofstra product finished the year tied for the 10th-most points in the league (46). Byrne recorded his second seven-goal game of the year on Aug. 3 against Denver to break the rookie scoring record previously held by Kieran McArdle.
