Creekside's 2018 defender, Julia Duff, has decided to play for the home town team and has committed to Jacksonville University.  Julia plays club lacrosse for LaxManiax. Julia is one of five players of the LaxManiax class of 2018 to make an NCAA commitment. "I would like to thank my parents for helping me get to where I am. Without them, I wouldn't have been able to get to all the tournaments and practices and I couldn't have reached my goals without them. Jason Schmidt Named First PBA Women’s Lacrosse Coach

via press release - photo via PBA web site   WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic University has hired Jayson Schmidt as the first head coach of the varsity women's lacrosse program as announced by PBA Director of Athletics Carolyn Stoneon Monday. Schmidt graduated from PBA and has been part of the lacrosse programs as a player and a coach. Schmidt has been part of men's lacrosse program – which competed in the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association - since 2006 when he began his playing career for the Sailfish. He has been a member of the coaching staff since he finished playing in 2011. via press release   WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Stephen Tempone will be the first leader of the Palm Beach Atlantic University varsity men’s lacrosse program as announced by PBA Director of Athletics Carolyn Stone. Tempone comes to PBA after serving at his alma mater – New York Institute of Technology – since 2013. He was the offensive coordinator at NYIT where he led the team to a 13-5 record and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. HARDEEVILLE, S.C. –– Palm Beach Atlantic University jumped out to a seven goal first quarter en route to a 16-10 victory against the Savannah College of Art & Design on Saturday night. Christian Corbin (Bowie, Md./St. Mary's Annapoils) and Camden Baggs (Summerville, S.C./Ashley Ridge) paced the Sailfish (7-2) as both were awarded game balls in the rivalry game win. Corbin finished with five goals and one assist, while Baggs had one goal, two assists, and seven ground balls. The scoring began early and often for PBA, who got three early goals from Corbin, contributing to a 5-1 lead. WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. –– No. 14 Palm Beach Atlantic got back into the swing of things in a big way, defeating No. 21 Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) 11-8 on Wednesday night. The out-of-conference game between ranked opponents was a key restart for the Sailfish, who played their first game in sixteen days. In early March, the 'Fish played five games in nine days that resulted in wins over then-No. 9 Siena Heights, plus Stonehill and Columbus State, but the break was greatly needed.
