I'm including links to the PB Post and Sun-Sentinel articles for you to read the game recaps, I can't really add to that as far as the game was concerned.  Less than 6 minutes into the game it was 5-1 LHP and the rest of the game felt like a holding pattern. LHP's Jackie Norsworthy continued her Final Four producti...

Silva Published 10:22 p.m. ET May 2, 2019 | Updated 9:32 a.m. ET May 3, 2019   Excerpt: As the final seconds ticked off the Naples High School scoreboard, the hometown girls lacrosse team Thursday night continued battling Benjamin School. The Buccaneers were about to hand the Golden Eagles their first loss of 2019, yet Naples didn't appear defeated. Then the siren signaled the end of the contest, and the Naples players ran to their goalie, many jumping up and down with their arms in the air. They lost 15-5 in the regional final — the first in program history — on their home field, yet few would call the season anything but a success with a final record of 22-1. "It's unfortunate our season had to end,...

By Alex Peterman Special to The Post, photo provided by Hunter Zatorsky Posted Apr 14, 2019 at 4:35 PM Excerpt: The Crusaders host the District 24 playoffs this week, starting with a game against Seminole Ridge tonight. When the teams last met on Feb. 27, Cardinal Newman won 15-2, but no one outside the Crusaders locker room had any idea what was in store for the team. Now the Crusaders are 16-0, ranked eighth in the state and the clear-cut favorites in District 24. It was their first undefeated season -- a feat made more impressive against the likes of Benjamin, Martin County and Vero Beach. Cardinal Newman defeated all three, starting with back-to-back victories over Martin County and rival Benjamin at the beginning of March. The win against Martin County was...
