After battling back from a five-goal deficit, the Bucs pulled within one goal of St. Thomas Aquinas, at 8-7, with less than 40 seconds in the third quarter. But in a sequence that summed up the day, St. Thomas found a way to deliver when it needed a play and Benjamin just couldn’t finish. Raiders midfielder CJ Borodiak took advantage of a Bucs dropped pass, battled for the ground ball and hit a sprinting Nick Yovino in stride to turn Benjamin’s possession the other way. US Lacrosse South Florida Region Announces All Americans and Coach of the Year!

  Participants have confirmed that ten players have been named All Americans this year in the voting conducted by the region's coaches. In addition Benjamin's Shane Rye has been honored with Coach of the Year by his peers!  Congrats to him and the players!     Three nominees are from defending state champions St. Thomas Aquinas . . .    Kevin Crowley   Jimmy Harrington (kind of wonder if this is the first time in Florida history that two second grade classmates were named AA together . . . )   Joey Guglielmo   Then we have two Oxbridge players   Christian Tomei   Terrell Seabrooks   And one each from 5 different schools   Christian Cropp of Benja
