  via US Lacrosse - video via YouTube   SPARKS, Md. — Head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller has named 36 players that have been selected to the training team for the 2019 U.S. Women’s U19 National Team. The players were selected from the 110 players that participated in a three-day tryout that concluded Sunday at US Lacrosse headquarters. “Obviously it’s bittersweet because there’s so much talent at this tryout,” said Amonte Hiller, the head coach at Northwestern University, a National Lacrosse Hall of Fame inductee and a three-time U.S. World Cup team member. “It’s hard to let some of those kids go because there was such a depth of the talent pool — to have 500 kids apply and to just see how strong the drills and scrimmages and everything we did this weekend was.

  via JHU web site:   Excerpt: CHICAGO, IL – The Johns Hopkins women’s lacrosse team placed three players on the All-Big Ten Team it was announced today. Senior attacker Shannon Fitzgerald, freshman midfielder Shelby Harrison and freshman defender Jeanne Kachris earned All-Big Ten honors for the Blue Jays. In addition, senior CeCe Finney was one of seven Sportsmanship Award recipients in the conference. The student-athletes selected for the Sportsmanship Award are individuals who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. In addition, the student-athletes must be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. In just their second season in the Big Ten, the Blue Jays have
