Last season many of our readers will remember that we were not able to put together the District Preview series that has proven so popular each year for the Boys' teams. We want to make sure that doesn't happen again this year and are reaching out to our readership to help us get back on track!
First, I know that we are not going to be able to do this for the Girls' teams too but we are still at a point in our growth where resources are limited so please understand our political incorrectness and we hope to find the person in the future who can help to fill in our gap on the Girls' side . . . there are about 190 varsity Boys' teams playing this year over 32 Districts and I only have so many hours to dedicate to this.
We have prepared the Questionnaire to send out and we ar...
SOS - I went to a new phone and lost all my contacts!!
In order to be able to do season previews I'm going to need some help from you!
Please send to me at email@example.com your cell number, school name (better I learn any more coaching moves now) and if you have your schedules in a Word, Excel or PDF format I'd appreciate that too! Those of you who have my cell number can send the contact data via text so I can upload it directly to my phone.
Many of you can also help me out by sending out this request to the other coaches in your districts that don't frequent our web site . . . please do so! Otherwise I'll have to call each school individually and that's not a good use of my time. Thanks for all the help up front!
For the fans I have some good news bas...

Lake Highland Prep head coach Chris Spaulding has resigned for family reasons, will relocate to upstate NY.
Lake Highland Prep is losing the only boys lacrosse coach who has four FHSAA state championships on his resume.
Chris Spaulding, who compiled a 176-46 record over 10 years at Lake Highland, is moving his family back to upstate New York and taking a job with an insurance firm in Elmira, which is next door to his hometown of Horseheads.
“Our third child is on the way,” Spaulding said on Saturday. “This is a good opportunity to go back to the area where we’re from and be close to my parents and to my wife’s parents.”

In the frozen moment of a snapshot, John Michael Night is a sunlight-dappled teen on a beach, standing tall, his arms around his smiling older sister and kid brother.
It looks like an answer to prayer.
John Michael, a former Trinity Prep lacrosse star struck by a rare, devastating brain-stem stroke just before Christmas 2015, had initially suffered locked-in syndrome — the inability to move anything other than his eyes.
Thousands of admirers around the world — including celebrities, sports heroes and politicians — began following his journey to recover, donating several hundred thousand dollars along t...

thanks to Tom Congdon and Ted Swoboda for the pictures!
After the regular season game between these two there was a sense that if LHP wanted to get back to the top of the mountain in Florida they were going to have to really find themselves as a team. There was a clear definable distance between them and STA . . . and the biggest difference was how physical each team played. STA just overwhelms you physically in all aspects . . . Ryan Izquierdo is a bull in a china shop on the faceoffs and going downhill. Joey Guglielmo defines the get down and dirty two-way midfield approach. The Kevin and Jimmy Show goes to the net and never avoids the contact. In settled defense situations STA gets in your face and dares you to snarl back. All around toughness. And it showed in that r...
