  via Saint Leo press release   BOX SCORE SAINT LEO, Fla. – The No. 24 Saint Leo women's lacrosse team clinched a perfect non-conference season in the form of a 20-4 win over Montevallo Sunday afternoon at University Turf Stadium. The Lions will enter Sunshine State Conference play undefeated with an 11-0 record. After four minutes of play, Saint Leo held a 2-1 lead over Montevallo. The Lions offense then broke out a 12-goal run for a halftime score of 14-1. The Falcons netted three goals between a pair of three-goal runs by the Lions in the second half. The Lions defeated the visiting Chargers 17-6 to defend their home field at University Turf Stadium. Saint Leo earned a 7-4 halftime lead over Alabama-Huntsville led by Leslie Ferguson's first stanza hat-trick. The Lions opened the second half with a seven-goal run, earning the running clock advantage (14-4) with 12:29 left on the clock. Alabama-Huntsville snuck in two goals before the clock ran out while the Lions put another three behind the net. The strong win extended the Green and Gold's perfect season start to 6-0. The six straight victories match the program's best season start which was recorded last season under the direction of head coach Caitlin Hansen. The day's decision lowers Lee's record to 3-4. The electrifying win extended the Lions perfect season record to 5-0. Seton Hill's overall record moved to 1-2. Mackenzie Cotter caused a turnover and picked up the ground ball to leave 37 seconds left on the clock, just enough time for the Lions to use a timeout and set up a play.
