  via UT press release   TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's lacrosse team is set to travel to Rollins College Sunday, November 5 for their second fall ball event. The team will compete in an event honoring John Michael Night, against the Mercer University Bears at 12:00 pm at the Rollins College Stadium Field. Proceeds of the night will benefit John Michael Night and the Core Foundation.     John Michael Night was heavily recruited by UT before committing to Mercer University on an academic and athletic scholarship. Before Christmas 2015 he was struck by a rare devastating brain-stem stroke, leaving him in what is medically referred to as Locked-in Syndrome (LIS). (Men's Lacrosse) - Florida Tech (7-6, 3-2 SSC) sent its seniors off with a victory in the final home game of their career Saturday afternoon, as the Panthers knocked off No. 20 Rollins (7-7, 2-3 SSC) 12-8 in Sunshine State Conference action. With the win, FIT clinched the 2-seed in next week's SSC Men's Lacrosse Tournament. Cody Martin led the Panthers with four goals. photo via FSC web site   FSC Press Release   WINTER PARK, FL - Florida Southern College men's lacrosse overcame a one-goal halftime deficit to earn a 9-8 road win over Sunshine State Conference rival Rollins on Saturday at Baker Family Stadium. The Moccasins (7-6, 2-2 SSC) used a dominant third quarter, scoring three times while holding the Tars (7-6, 2-2) scoreless in the third. With the win, Florida Southern snapped a two-game losing streak and stayed in the hunt for a spot in the SSC Tournament. photo via Rollins web site   Rollins Press Release   WINTER PARK, Fla.  (April 1, 2017) – Trailing by as much as two with 9:24 to go in the third quarter, the Rollins men’s lacrosse team fought back to earn a 6-4 come-from-behind upset victory over the No. 19 Saint Leo University Lions on Saturday evening at Barker Family Stadium and Cahall-Sandspur Field. The win marks the third straight matchup the Tars have taken from the Lions in the all-time series against their longest Florida rival, and advances their overall record to 6-5, and 1-1 in Sunshine State Conference action.  The Lions, who have now dropped their second Sunshine State Conference game of the season, drop to a record of 8-3, and 0-2 in SSC action.
