via PBA press release WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's lacrosse head coach Jayson Schmidt has announced the upcoming 2019 schedule for the Sailfish. This year's schedule includes 15 games with 10 taking place at the PBA Soccer/Lacrosse Field at the Rinker Athletic Campus. The Sailfish will begin the 2019 slate in Georgia, taking on Shorter on Jan. 31 and then Emmanuel on Feb. 2. PBA defeated Shorter last year for their inaugural win, taking down the Hawks 20-11 in West Palm Beach. PBA nearly defeated Emmanuel at home last year as well, falling 9-6. PBA will play at home 10 times during the season with the first home game taking place on Feb. 16 as Rockhurst makes their first visit to the Rinker Athletic Campus. The 'Fish won't play again until Feb.

The No. 4 Moccasins (17-1, 5-1 SSC) scored six times in the opening two minutes and saw their senior class combine for 10 goals in the win over the Sailfish (1-14, 0-6). With the win, the Mocs clinch the top seed in next week's Sunshine State Conference Tournament. PBA was able to keep it close early as Chanel Nassir notched her 11th goal of the season three minutes in. That goal – assisted by Kate LeBlanc – kept the 'Fish within one at 2-1 but the Lions started a run of eight straight goals that put the game out of reach. Grace Bartlinski added a goal, her team leading 32nd, 5:30 before halftime but the Lions added four more to lead 14-2 at the half. The Sailfish trailed 7-0 before Jasmine Rogell got PBA on the board nine minutes into the contest. Morgan LeBlanc and Alyssa Yates added goals in the first half as ERAU took a 14-3 lead into halftime. Chanel Nassir and Grace Bartlinski added goals late in the second half for PBA while Julia del Carmen assisting on both scores. Bartlinski's goal gives her 31 on the year and currently leads the team. Sarah Vernarelli made seven saves in net for the 'Fish. The Sailfish are back in action on Saturday as they travel to Saint Leo on Saturday for a 2 p.m. start with the Lions.
