Cinotti Breaks 100 As Sailfish Roll
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – After a slow start the Palm Beach Atlantic women's lacrosse team cruised to a 21-8 victory over Ave Maria on Wednesday night.
Kiki Cinotti became the program's first 100-point scorer with her fifth assist of the night. She also scored five times in the game to reach the century mark in points in just her 18th game.
PBA trailed 2-0 and 4-2 early in the game to the Gyrenes before embarking on a an 8-0 run to take a 10-4 lead. AMU added a goal just before halftime to end the run as the 'Fish led 10-5 at the end of the first 30 minutes.
The 'Fish poured it on in the second half, outscoring AMU 11-3 as Cinotti padded her stat line with four of her five a...
Due to the district previews and my Top 15 polls for each class I will just summarize the SSC/NAIA games here with links to each press release.
Of course, the Florida Gators shocking win over #1 Maryland, ending the Terps 86-game home streak will get it's own article given the magnitude of the accomplishment!

via PBA press release, photo by Ron Hilliard
TAMPA, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's lacrosse came up just short in their season-opener on Saturday evening, falling in the final seconds to Alabama-Huntsville 16-15.
The 'Fish led throughout most of the contest after taking their first lead on Anna Laskaris' first goal with just over nine minutes to play in the first half. That was part of a five-goal run for the Sailfish as they opened up a 9-5 lead late in the first half. The Chargers came back to make it a 10-9 game at the break.
In the second half the 'Fish found the scoring column early as Laskaris found the net 39 seconds into the second half. After the Chargers tied it at 11-11, Kiki Cinotti put the 'Fish back in front with one of her game-high si...
