In my continuing quest to be more proactive on the college scene there's some interesting news to report on one of our Florida colleges.
Jacksonville has received votes for the Nike/US Lacrosse Magazine Top 20, finishing at 22 for the week! The Dolphins are 2-1 on the season with their only loss to #13 Michigan by 2 goals. Jenny Kinsey and Sarah Elms lead the team with 11 goals each in the 3 games.

The Tampa Women fell to Lindenwood on Tuesday. Lindenwood rose to #1 in that very same poll for D2 Women and proved it with the 11-5 win in Tampa.

The Gators rebounded on Wednesday from their Saturday loss to Loyola (Md.) with a commanding 21-6 road win over Kennesaw State.

The Tampa Women, ranked #6 in the latest D2 poll, took down Newberry 19-6 last night:

Women’s Lacrosse Embarks on Inaugural Season
Since I live in Boca Raton, my non-coverage college fix was going out to the Lynn home games and hanging in the stands with parents of players I knew from covering their kids in high school and I got to know Coach Kingsbury over the years. So when Lynn went the Women's route I was excited to have another outlet for the passion. Mindy Richmond came on board as head coach and my first contact with her was a bit of a funny one.
Mindy was holding her first o...
