  via JU press release   SPARTANBURG, S.C. – After contributing to its third Southern Conference postseason appearance in three years, the Jacksonville University men's lacrosse team had six players earn seven postseason All-SoCon awards, as announced by the league Tuesday afternoon. Sophomore midfielder Jack Dolan and freshman defender Jordan Young were named to the First Team, while senior attackman Eric Applegate, redshirt-junior midfielder Evan Tyler, sophomore defender Dixon Smith, and freshman midfielder Zack Deaken all earned a spot on the Second Team. "It wasn't how we exactly planned the game going, but our boys found a way to gut out a tough win on the road against a really well-coached Bellarmine team," said head coach John Gallowayfollowing the win.   via JU press release   CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A senior captain for the Jacksonville University men's lacrosse team, Eric Applegate was selected by the Florida Launch as the 47th overall pick in the 2019 Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Collegiate Draft, Saturday evening at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. A First Team All-Southern Conference selection last season, the Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. native was also named to the 2017 SoCon All-Tournament Team and the 2016 SoCon All-Freshman Team.   via UT press release   Boston, MA - (February 8, 2019) - Major League Lacrosse (MLL) hosted the 2019 Collegiate Draft presented by Cascade Saturday, March 9 at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, N.C. The Draft was free of charge to attend and featured representatives from every MLL team. Major League Lacrosse streamed the event for the first time in league history, from their website. More than 550 fans, players, league executives, and sponsors attended the event.
