  via JU press release   BOX SCORE LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A fourth-quarter rally lifted the Jacksonville University men's lacrosse team to an 11-8 victory over Bellarmine in the teams' Southern Conference opener, Saturday afternoon at Frazier Stadium. "It wasn't how we exactly planned the game going, but our boys found a way to gut out a tough win on the road against a really well-coached Bellarmine team," said head coach John Gallowayfollowing the win. "We made silly mistakes on both ends and didn't show the same competition on the ground we did last weekend. With that said, it's a blessing to win and learn.   via JU press release   CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A senior captain for the Jacksonville University men's lacrosse team, Eric Applegate was selected by the Florida Launch as the 47th overall pick in the 2019 Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Collegiate Draft, Saturday evening at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. A First Team All-Southern Conference selection last season, the Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. native was also named to the 2017 SoCon All-Tournament Team and the 2016 SoCon All-Freshman Team.
