  via FSC press release   LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College men's lacrosse rallied back from an early deficit to stun No. 4 Colorado Mesa, 12-9, at Moccasin Field on Saturday afternoon. The Moccasins (4-3) saw the Mavericks (7-2) pull out to an 2-0 lead in the opening 34 seconds of the game, but Kevin Dyer scored three goals in a five-minute span to spark a 4-0 run and give the Mocs a 5-3 lead in the second quarter. The teams would head to the locker room tied 5-5 at the half, but Florida Southern outscored the Mavericks 4-1 in the third quarter and goalkeeper Mike Greco made a handful of crucial saves late in the fourth to preserve the lead.   via FSC press release   SYRACUSE, NY - Florida Southern College men's lacrosse was unable to overcome an early offensive onslaught from No. 2 Le Moyne in an 11-6 loss on Sunday afternoon at Ted Grant Field. The Moccasins (3-3) fell behind the Dolphins (4-0) by three goals after the first quarter and were never able to recover. Le Moyne outshot Florida Southern 29-16 in the first half en route to a 6-4 halftime lead.   via FSC press release   ALBANY, NY - Joe Appio's goal with just over a minute to go capped off a late rally as Florida Southern College men's lacrosse overcame a late two-goal deficit in a 10-9 win over the College of Saint Rose on Friday afternoon. The Moccasins (3-2) led by four goals at the half, but the Golden Knights (1-3) scored five-straight to open the third quarter and led by two (9-7) with just over seven minutes to go. However, Florida Southern scored three times in the span of four minutes in the fourth quarter to sneak away with the win. The Utes (5-0) and Lopes (4-0) each received 12 first place votes, but Utah was able to grab the top spot thanks to 629 total points to Grand Canyon’s 628. Chapman (6-0), fresh off its win against No. 8 Virginia Tech on Tuesday night (that was not counted in this poll), stayed at No. 3 with a pair of first place votes.   via FSC press release   LAKELAND, FL - Florida Southern College men's lacrosse got out to an early lead but was unable to stave off a strong effort by visiting Wingate in a 9-5 loss on Tuesday afternoon at Moccasin Field. The Moccasins (2-2) got on the board first and led by a goal toward the beginning of the second quarter, but the Bulldogs (2-3) scored four unanswered goals to close out the first half en route to the win. Mike Greco had a strong showing in goal with 15 saves, but Florida Southern was unable to match Wingate on offense as the Bulldogs ripped off 41 total shots.   via FSC press release   LAKELAND, FL - Lucas Claude and Kevin Dyer combined for 11 goals as Florida Southern College men's lacrosse dominated Emmanuel, 25-2, in its first-ever game at the brand-new Moccasin on Sunday. The Moccasins (2-1) put the pressure on early and never trailed at any point as they dominated the Lions (0-6) en route to the largest margin of victory in school history. The Mocs struck for nine goals in the first and second quarters while holding Emmanuel scoreless for nearly 35 total minutes.   via FSC press release   SALISBURY, NC -  Florida Southern College men's lacrosse finished up their first weekend of the season with a thrilling overtime victory on the road at Catawba College.The Moccasins (1-1) got off to a hot start as they went up 4-0 on the Indians (1-3) in the first quarter. However, the Mocs had to make a late comeback in regulation to force overtime, and Lucas Claude found the back of the net with 44 seconds to go in the extra period to lift Florida Southern to victory. Claude and Carson Wallace each scored three times, with Wallace tallying the game-tying goal with 3:38 to go in regulation and Claude scoring the game-winner on overtime.
