The Terps are coming off a perfect 23-0 season last year and are followed closely by Stony Brook University at number two, who saw their 2017 season end in the NCAA quarter-finals with a 13-12 loss to Maryland. Florida received all nine available first-place votes and led the conference with six Preseason All-BIG EAST players. No other school earned more than two All-BIG EAST nods. GAINESVILLE, Fla. – University of Florida lacrosse coach Amanda O'Leary has been selected as a 2018 Tewaaraton Legend, as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation Friday night. The Tewaaraton Legends Award annually honors those who played college lacrosse prior to 2001, the first year in which the Tewaaraton Award was presented. Recipients are chosen on the basis that their collegiate performance would have earned them a Tewaaraton Trophy, had the award existed when they played.
