press release via Saint Leo's web site   SAINT LEO, Fla. – Caitlin Hansen's resume includes experience as a Division II women's lacrosse player, a coach at all three NCAA divisions, a full-time recruiter, and as a head coach who elevated her program from a sub-.500 level into NCAA post-season play with a conference title and undefeated conference record. That background earned Hansen the nod as Saint Leo University's new head women's lacrosse coach, tasked with positioning the Lions to challenge for the Sunshine State Conference title and a berth in the NCAA tournament. Saturday night FAU's stadium served not only as the site of a thrilling Florida Launch come from behind 15-14 win over the The New York Lizards, but also as the host for this year's South Florida Chapter of US Lacrosse awards banquet.  As far as I am concerned, every chapter in the state should try to replicate this great way to celebrate its season, whether locally or better yet, coordinated with a trip to Boca Raton for the night when the Launch is in town.  The staff at the Launch, headed by Brian and Don Clinton, Michael Zeff and others put on a terrific evening and are doing a ton of community outreach (check out the photos at the bottom of this article to see an example).  The Launch management is building a great franchise. Thank you to everyone, including emcees Joe Chiarella, E

via NCAA press release   Author's Note:  For those who play and follow the Girl's game these changes are truly revolutionary in finding a balance between keeping the Girl's game unique and solving some of the more vexing issues with watching the sport grow, particularly the speed of re-starting the game from a blown whistle and the taking away of a clean goal due to a whistle that did not effect the play itself.  Hopefully the NCAA Ruling Panel will go ahead with all of these and then we can reflect back two years from now if any adjustments need to be made.   Committee recommends free movement in women’s lacrosse New proposal is designed to increase pace and flow of the game June 9, 2017 2:00pm by Greg Johnson The NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Rules Committee this
