***For Immediate Release - Sweetlax Florida Sweetlax Florida will be hosting Positional Clinics on March 19th at St. Andrew's School in Boca Raton, FL. The clinic is open to players in graduating classes 2022, 2023 and 2024. This one day event will be held between 11am and 2pm and is open to both current Sweetlax players as well as general public. Coaching the clinic will be current Sweetlax coaches, former DI, DII and DIII National Champions and All-Americans. The position focused event will allow players to obtain a large amount of reps and skill specific instruction. One of the best things about being involved with FloridaLacrosseNews.com is getting to know so many new people.  For instance, you get to hang with former MLL and NLL great Kevin Finneran and talk about his upcoming (three weeks from now) tournament to be held over Father's Day weekend in Delray Beach. Set at the beautiful natural turf fields the city built a few years ago, the event has the support of the Palm Beach Sports Commission. The Florida-Georgia Showdown brings together top teams from each state to compete annually in regular season contests.  The 2015 Florid- Georgia Showdown showcased some elite level Gerogia teams as they were able to nearly run the table on their Sunshine State counterparts with a 7-1 record for the weekend.  This year features six high level squads fighting for bragging rights. Each team will play a game on Friday and a game on Saturday.  The three Georgia teams represent programs from the top ten in the state of Georgia all who are on track for potential state championship runs in 2016. The Florida teams are also high level squads who are seeking to challenge as well for deep playoff runs. Several Division I commits will be on display.
