I felt at home every time I visited,”. Quinn plans to study Integrative Health Science while at Stetson. She has been playing lacrosse since fifth grade and has played on the Varsity Lacrosse team at Martin County since her Freshman year.   Last year she broke a school record for the most draw controls and interceptions.  In 2012 she received All District Honorable Mention, was an alternate on the Regional Team, and received a Coaches award for Top Defender. In 2013 she was  nominated as Player to Watch, All District 1st team Midfielder, All Region and all League 2nd team Midfielder.  “I am really looking forward to another great season with my team”.  She has been playing for Stickbenders Lacrosse for the past two years and she says that “Stickbenders has challenged me and as a result, I feel like I have become a stronger player. Coach Dean and Coach Bob have helped me a great deal both on and off the field.” Tara Windsor is a senior at Martin county high school and was recruited to play for Emerson College. “This was my dream school from the start” she said, “it is located in the center of Boston right across the street from the commons. I love the coach and the team. It was a perfect fit.” She will be majoring in marketing communications and minoring in Entrepreneurship. Tara has been on varsity since her freshman year and plays the attack position. She was awarded 2nd team all district, 2nd team all region, 2nd team all league, and Academic All American. She also enjoyed 3 years of club lacrosse with Stickbenders of Vero Beach. “I owe a lot to my coaches, Bob Windsor at Martin County and Shannon Dean at Stickbenders. I have grown tremendously as a player and I owe it all to them.” Caroline Smith says she “chose Liberty University for the location, amazing coaching staff that is going to help take my skills to the next level, and primarily because of the Christian atmosphere. After considering a few division one offers and visiting many campuses, I knew Liberty was the school that would be the best fit for me. One thing that was very important to me was also finding a school that fit me academically as well. Liberty University offers everything I could ever dream of in a school and I’m proud to be a Liberty Flame!” Angie Benson chose Towson because when she visited there the team was very friendly and she felt like they instantly embraced her as one of their own. She felt very comfortable with them and in turn they treated her with an immediate familiarity. By the 2nd day, they were calling her “Ang” and she felt like one of the group.  The school itself, has everything she wanted in a University.  She is interested in Science and Math.  When the Academic Advisor was telling her about a new program they are starting, STEM: Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, she knew it was where she wanted to go.  The dorms were perfect, two to a room and a private bath, the food was great in the dining hall.  Towson as a town was convenient to the University.  There is also a major airport nearby.  She is very excited and happy with her choice.
