Above – RJ Garcia scored twice for the Sharks The weather finally cooperated and the Sharks hosted their first home game Friday night. After a defensive battle on both sides for the first five minutes, Junior Ryan Wiele tallied the first goal of the game and the floodgates erupted as the Sharks went on to a 10-2 halftime lead.  Senior Cody Legeza was in stellar form with three goals and 2 assists in the first half. Junior Miles Silva also contributed 2 of his 4 goals in the first half. Colin Peaks had two saves in goal thru two quarters. The second half was much the same, as the Red Raiders struggled to gain an offensive edge. Senior RJ Garcia and Junior Logan Taucher each found the net twice. Jake Anderson stepped in at goal for the second half and recorded 4 saves. Ground ball honors go to Parker Blin with 7 and Evan Weiner right behind with 6. Garrett Boyle, Ben Buchanan, Eric Applegate, Rob Peeters all contributed goals. Final 17-3 Ponte Vedra. The Sharks take on SC state champion Wando 3:30 Saturday at Jacksonville University.
