Jupiter Cracks the FAB 50 National Rankings

Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
Photo Above – Jupiter and St. Andrews are both ranked in the FAB 50 Jupiter rode a victory over nationally ranked Lake Highland Prep into the StudentSports.com FAB 50 rankings coming in a 44.  Saint Andrews remained in the poll at number 34 and Lake Highland dropped off.  It’s still early and many of the nationally ranked teams have not started playing yet so expect lots of movement over the next few weeks.  Plenty of time for LHP to get back in there and for Jupiter, and Saint Andrews to move up. St. Thomas Aquinas also received votes this week. From StudentSports.com By Mike Loveday | March 4, 2014 Movement: As usual with the first FAB 50 after the preseason rankings there is a slight shakeup and adjustments among the rankings. Much of the movement this week is slight as teams move a couple spots in either direction. The only change among the Top 5 is a swap of St. Paul’s and Georgetown Prep. With a tie of 326 points, the Crusaders moved up on spot this week based on being ranked higher on four of the seven voter submissions. Newcomers: Three new teams enter the rankings this week: Jupiter (Jupiter, Fla.), Bishop Timon-St. Jude (Buffalo, N.Y.) and Ithaca (Ithaca, N.Y.). Jupiter (Jupiter, Fla.) did not receive a vote in the preseason, but with a win over former No. 26 Lake Highland Prep (Orlando, Fla.) the Warriors enter the rankings at No. 43. – See more at: http://www.studentsports.com/lacrosse/2014/03/04/boys-fab-50-march-4/#sthash.LBDQ4gx4.dpuf
