Dalton Davis, a rising Senior LSM/Defenseman from Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton Florida announced his verbal commitment to play lacrosse and attend Bard College in Annandale-on-the-Hudson, New York. Long considered one of the nation’s elite academic institutions, Bard College will restart its men’s varsity lacrosse program this year and intend to build a program that can compete in the highly competitive Liberty League. This new team is under the leadership of Head Coach Tucker Kear who received the 2011 D-III Outstanding Assistant Coach Award. “Having the chance to attend Bard and play lacrosse under Coach Kear is simply an unbelievable, once in a lifetime opportunity,” said Davis. “The chance to contribute to the team and help make sports history at Bard while getting a great education as part of the Bard community is very exciting for me,” added Davis. “I would like to thank Coach Kear for giving me the opportunity to play for him and Bard. I would also like to thank numerous people who have helped me including the Saint Andrew’s Administration, Teachers, Trainers and Coaching Staff. I would also like to thank Coaches Jim Stagnitta and Stan Ross for their mentoring and guidance during the recruiting process. And of course a BIG thanks to my parents, Paul and Debbie for everything they have done for me always encouraging me to believe in myself! Lastly, thanks to my great GSS & SA friends (you know who you are) who have always been there for me. I intend to make my family & friends as well as my new family at Bard very proud…Go Scots & Go Raptors!”
