Over the weekend Head Coach Jeff Shimmel & the University of South Florida Bulls traveled up to Louisiana to take on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Ragin Cajuns and the Louisiana State University Tigers, after their home opener loss to Auburn Tigers the previous weekend. That Saturday the Bulls met the Ragin Cajuns at St. Thomas Moore High School, and with a good week of practices and a longer than usual warm up, it gave the Bulls the extra needed edge that they needed after Auburn. After the first half the Bulls controlled the tempo with a 6-2 half time lead with some missed opportunities, but never looked back putting up another ten goals while only  giving up three in the second half. The final score was the University of South Florida Bulls 16, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Ragin Cajuns 5. Coming into the second half the Bulls picked up right where they left off, and quickly buried a few goals to distance themselves even more before possessing the ball the majority of the rest of the game.
